Sarah Evans, a 26 year old independent spinster, has eight days to find a man willing to marry her in order to save her inheritance. She proposes a marriage of convenience to Mitchell Stewart, the best of the few single men in Layton, Wyoming.
Mitchell, attracted to her, accepts her proposal, but has every intention of having a family; a family to replace the one taken from him when he was young and eluding him because of his solitary lifestyle.
Tolerating the complaisant relationship as long as he can, Mitchell confronts Sarah, telling her he is no longer satisfied with their business arrangement and wants out of it. Would she believe his explanations? Could she forgive him?

A bit of a twist from the usual Old West romance. In the description there is no mention of the amount of sex so that part was a little surprising. It got old pretty fast but the actual story kept my interest.The hero was sweet, patient and a nice guy. Sarah was a strong, independent woman during a time when it wasn't okay to be like that. I liked the fact she wasn't a typical whiny female looking for a man.
Overall, a fun, easy read.

I just finished reading this book and found it quite entertaining and intriguing. I enjoyed the overall concept of the chivalry code among men in this story. With today's society it is nice to sit back and disappear into a story like this and transport yourself in time. The author's writings were very detailed and gave a full picture of what was happening in the storyline. I look forward to many more books by her! Hope others enjoy the read as well.
Good book. Good characters. Believable story line. Loved the cowboys, and friendly couple, of long standing as business partners with the hero. These sub-characters really helped this story. I think a bit too much sex, sometimes, less is more. Would read this author. /A
This book had a little of everything in it. I really enjoyed reading it. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good romance read
A very unusual and well-written story all the way through. It starts off as though a much-used contract and develops into a most unusual ending.
I enjoyed the plot, I felt it was both entertaining and at times amusing. The characters both primary and secondary were likeable and strong especially the H/h. What I didnt expect is the predictability of it all. I figured out within the first chapter who our H/h would have issues with it wasn't much of a mystery and I thought it was a bit meh. I suppose I was waiting for a more beefed up version of what actually took place with the relatives. The over abundance of erotic scenes could have been shaved down quite a bit and I would have enjoyed the book even more it got monotonuous after a while. I finally ended up skipping them all together since they really added no value after the initial encounter. I look forward to other books by this author. I was able to download this for free but would have been just as satisfied had I purchased it for the going $2.99 rate. Happy reading, enjoy.
